Ode to Spring

Ode to Spring aims to capture those first moments of spring where nature is starting to return to its bustling self. Dandelions are often seen as a pest weed, but they serve as one of the very first sources of food for bees. Bees are essential to life on Earth. The photograph below (taken by myself) served as the inspiration for this piece and even lent itself to the main subject of the pendant. I used the photograph to create stencils and etched the designs into the copper surface with ferric chloride solution.
